Jessica Araysa-Galvan is a Hispanic artist currently based in Portland, Oregon. With a background in fabrication, Jessica most recently has worked as a landscape artist on LAIKA's upcoming film Wildwood. Jessica has experience working for stop motion shorts, live action films and theater production. She brings a wide range of skills to her work she specializes in sewing, prop making, laser cutting, 3d printing and processing, painting, paper crafts, mold making and sculpting.
Originally from the Bay Area, Jessica graduated from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco with a BFA in Animation and Visual Effects. Focusing on Stop Motion fabrication. While at the Academy of Art she was a featured artist in Juxtapose Magazine. Her senior project was awarded Spring show 2020
In her free time Jessica enjoys traveling, knitting and collecting trinkets.
