1/6 & 1/12 Scale Custom Doll.
Original and designs inspired by characters in Tv/Movies. I created sewing patterns from show references or original designs altering existing sewing patterns and recreating my own to create scale versions of outfits. Often sourcing thrifted clothes, color dying or designing custom fabric to best match scale, design, and color. Hair is styled using a mix of gel and glue to keep shape. Details like hair buns were braided and sewn into place.
Custom face repaints.
Factory dolls are carved with Dremel and carving tools, sanded, primed and painted with acrylic paint, color pencils and pan pastels. Eyes are printed on photo paper and toped with resin and glass cabochon. Falsies are then cut and added to finish the look.
Hat is lined with a thin interfacing to give fabric structure and make it easier to sew. Petersham ribbon ladder stitched to the inside.
Skirt is sewn nice sides together, turned around and hand stitched close
Size 0 knitted hats made with embroidery floss that I sell online. I created the text design and sometimes make custom for customers with their names.
1/12 scale (approximately 4.5 inches) Commissioned custom doll created to resemble customer. I created a custom sewing pattern to match the customers personal dress. Dress and accessories are all hand sewn. Small jewelry wire was used to create customers face piercings. Face was painted with a mix of acrylic paints, color pencil and pan pastels.
Cosplay:
Above: Work in progress, mask is 3d printed, filled with bondo and currently being sanded. Due to size of the print it had to be printed in sections and heat welded together with staples. I will be installing a helmet or headgear in the inside to secured to head while wearing. Cape is a modified skirt pattern with a collar.
Below: Tunic inspired by Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Tunic and under shirt details were designed and cut on Cricut with heat vinyl patterns to replicate details from game. Sourced accessories like belts, gloves, shoes.
